Week 3- STAR

Hi, I am Julia Kolacka, my role this week was a Star. I was in charge of the visualization of the comic story.

So at first, we had to read the article about ICT, also we saw the video about the croods.

We had to summarize the 4 potentialities of ICT.

My role was to present the whole story and describe how the task developed us. I had 3 minutes for my presentation and during this, I presented the general path of the work. We chose the cave art, so I had to create the comic in this style. The cave art is the art represented by paleolithic humans. The cave art has been painted on the walls of caves. This had to inspire us and we had to create something like this.

Here is our comic art and the whole story about it.

1.Once upon a time, there was one family. The family consisted of parents and two children. Some day one child got lost because he wanted to explore technology and the learning by internet

2.Suddenly he ended up in the school.

3.He explored school life and met a lot of people.

4.In one classroom, The student explained to him how the laptop works and how he can reach so much information. They were playing together and thanks for this the child could understand the whole process

5.In another classroom he saw the students who were uploading videos and photos on their blog. He was so curious so the students let him take a photo and upload this on the blog. That was so important because in this case, he could become a real participant, not just a passive observer. What is one of the 4 potentialities of ICT, this is a possibility for the student to join the other life and make brilliant things.

6. After this he saw the whole class where the teacher was explaining the presentation about prehistoric. The teacher was using the digital screen. After the lesson, the teacher explained how important is to develop the student as informed consumers of information. This was so impressive. And the child was so pleasant because he became a consumer of new information. Which Is so valuable for students because they can learn from visualization and thanks to ICT the teachers can improve their learning and develop new skills.

7. In the next class one student was looking for some places on google maps. The child was thrilling when he saw this. He couldn’t believe it. The student showed him the power of online maps. He presented the settings and told him that thanks to it he can be wherever he wants. It is just one click. Browsing the internet is an important skill because thanks to this he can reach any information he wants.

8. The teacher gave him the tablet and explained to him how to use it to back home. This experience lets him be in touch with the whole world and now he has more perspective for gain the world and knowledge

9. He opened the map so after few hours he was in his cave. He met his family and described the whole adventure.

10. Also, he showed them tablets and after that, they were watching the video together and enjoying technology.
