Hi , I'm Paula Manzanares. This week we have been working on exploring tasks with digitals for fostering transversal competencies in order to prepare an activity for tutorial action, and we decided to include and search information of the followings: Digital Competence, Social and Civic Competence, Learning to learn and Communication in the mother language. We have related each one to the technological tool that we think best fits in with the activity proposed by the Taccle Book, so that, when we gathered all the pertinent information, it could be also performed in a task designed by us, which is an online newspaper (regarding social and civic competence). However, while developing the activity, we came across with the strengths of the task itself but also some drawbacks.
The best part of the activity was getting familiarized to different apps and online games the children can take advantage to improve their metacognitive skills. It was also important the feedback we recieved from Linda the day of our presentation and to implement the changes in the PechaKucha according to both technology and ethics enhanced ways of learning.
On the other hand, we found it very hard to organize the structure of the PechaKucha and to struggle with time , as well as deciding the themes for the newspaper , but actually, it all helped us to progress in our collaborative learning, mainly because this task fosters the combination of diverse activities and has enabled us to gain knowledge in terms of the range of activities and even creating a new one, that could be perfectly described as our "emergent activity"
